Bonfire Night Recipes
Yes this post is really early, but i am eager to share some recipes iv been practicing early this year. I recently Joined Slimming world (Dont worry you’re not going to find a strict diet recipe). Infect the recipe does have some lovely taste to it.
With this Slimming world diet you can eat as much food as you like as-long as it as no visual fat , i was a bit hesitant to eat this food, But soon as you test it you wont want to go back eat any other. So here they are The best improved Recipes from TFSL.
Let me start with The Traditional Baked Potato:
Ingredients:
- 1-4 Potato – (to meet the party size)
- Light butter
- Salt (Optional)
Method:
Pre-heat the oven, Pierce the potato’s all over and zap them up in the micro weave for 10-15 mins.
set out sheet of tin foil, place 1 potato in the middle of a sheet, slice the top of the potato like a start shape. Place a teaspoon of butter (1 syne). on top sprinkle some salt around the potato’s but that if you want it. and wrap the tin foil around it. make it all nice and snug. Now place the wrapped potato’s in the oven for 50 – 60 mins, on mark 200 fan – 180 – Gas. After the time the potatoes, should look lush and very soft and very tasty.
Now for the filling.
The famous, Chilli ”Warmer”: There is 2 versions to this, The non spice flavor or the spicy flavor. For this method We will cover the non spice.
Ingredients:
- 250g, lean beef mince.
- 1 tin of Chopped Tomato
- 1 tine of Baked, Bean, or mixed beans.
- 2 crushed garlic.
- 1 onion. (chopped)
- mushrooms
- Lea & Perrins. (or fry light spray)
- Barbecue seasoning
Method:
Get a large pan on medium to high heat (stew pan will work just as well), sprinkle Lea & Perrins to cover the bottom and let that build up some heat. You can pray fry light if you wish. Now place the mince into the pan stir and cook. Wait untill the mince is brown. drain the excess liquid, Place the mince back into the pan. make sure you take the pan off the hob. Throw in the chopped tomato and onions into the pan fallow that with the crushed garlic and chopped mushrooms. Now place the pan back to a medium to low heat, and cook untill boiling point. Now add the beans, cook for a further 3-4 mins. (boiling point.) Season with barbecue to taste. I usually had a sprinkle Lea & Perrins with this, but I would suggest only do this to taste. and for the spicy flavor, add a pink of chopped chilies.
