New Years Eve in Berlin, 31st Dec 2009. Fireworks (official display and thousand set off by member of the public) filmed outside the Reichstag (German parliament) in the snow. Also footage after midnight in the park in front of the Brandenburg Gate.

The fuse is lit, the stage is set for a no-expense-spared, five minute fireworks display to mark the glittering wedding of BBC Television anchorman and former England football ace Gary Lineker to his dazzling bride, Danielle Bux. This footage was obtained from the balcony of the nearby Hotel Parsifal which is under the first-class management of Ravello’s revered Mansi family ( to whom I’m very grateful). Please note the odd, Saturn-like appearance of a near-full moon on the left of the footage.
